Christmas can be an expensive time of year. Here are our tips to be better off this Christmas so that you can enjoy a truly special holiday season.
- Have an eagle eye for deals – Spend as much time as you need browsing the shops and websites to know the best deals. Signing up to e-marketing materials from your favourite retailers or brands can be a good way to track specials.
- List out the items before you buy them. This approach helps to contain accidental overspending but doesn’t interfere with the joy of giving something wonderful to those you love.
- Know how much you’ve got to spend and keep track of it. Use an app like ‘Track my Spending’, your phone notes or a simple notebook and pen.
- Avoid Christmas credit. Credit Card debt and interest rates exacerbate and prolong the expense of Christmas. We also recommend against Buy Now Pay Later services.
Happy shopping!
