Jake and his wife, Jackie, started their business “It Works” as a side project to supplement their regular income from their jobs and helping people feel healthy and confident. As personal trainers, Jake and Jackie understood it was difficult to improve one’s skin with exercise or diet, so they knew they had a niche market when they were introduced to an exciting new botanical formula that was safe, easy to use in the comfort of one’s own home and delivered fast results. There was no other product on the market which could help tighten and tone the skin.
Within 18 months, the pair left their employment to focus on their business full time.
“The focus we have right now is to grow our customer base locally and nationally, and to help more people feel healthier by using these products. We are also focused on helping individuals and business owners around Australia earn extra income by partnering with our brand,” Jake explains.
The business has experienced tremendous growth in the last two years with revenue more than doubling in the last 12 months. Recently, the business started to gain more recognition locally by partnering with individuals and business owners such as personal trainers, hair stylists and salons – “These people are loving the income they can generate through a simple, easy to follow system. It’s great seeing the stay at home mum earn extra income from home, not having to commute!”
Jake and Jackie have a large number of happy customers who have toned, tightened and firmed their skin, reduced cellulite and lessened the appearance of stretch marks. They are generally amazed at the results and extremely excited because these are not results that could be achieved through diet and exercise. The supporting skin care and supplement ranges are also giving people great energy and health, as well as peace of mind knowing that these products are natural and highly effective yet very affordable for the every-day person.
Over the next 12 months, Jake and Jackie hope to be a household name Australia-wide and help many individuals and businesses to increase their incomes by promoting the “It Works” products; being the ‘go to’ for people looking to tone, tighten and firm the skin. In doing this, their aim is to improve their social media presence and connect with more people through that medium.
“We also plan to help more Australian’s live the lifestyle they desire – whether they utilise our opportunity for an extra income, or decide to work from home with our business,” says Jake.
Jake says he and Jackie are currently finding it a challenge to manage their time and to adapt to the growth they are experiencing, wanting to be sure to reach new potential customers, especially the key demographics, which can also be a challenge.
“Robson Partners has helped us with our bookkeeping and tax planning so that we have more time to allocate to our core business and continue to focus doing what we love.”
By surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals and doing professional development, Jake and Jackie are constantly trying to learn, with the belief that to grow as a business, we must grow as people.
Jake explains that he and Jackie are now earning in one month what their typical wage was in one year prior to starting the business! And with growth happening in the USA, Canada, France, Australia and most recently opening in New Zealand, there is no stopping the pair!
Jake and Jackie want to be able to help more people become aware that there is a better way for them to enjoy their life, and do the things they want to with their time. By encouraging more business owners such as salons, spas, massage therapists, gyms, etc., it can benefit them by adding to their income with a low overhead additional product/service.
Previously, both Jake and Jackie believed that working a 9-5 job, being employed by someone else, was the only way to make a living – “We thought that entrepreneurship was for the brave, with a lot of money to invest and that it was a big risk to take. We didn’t know anything about network marketing. Having done extensive research, we now realise that this type of business is the best way to financial freedom and that it doesn’t require a large investment or risk.”
The team are enlightening more people – showing how they can own their own time and create the lifestyle they desire. People are learning that their income level and their lifestyle is completely within their control and not dependent upon luck, or chance.
Jake and Jackie claim they are an international couple who love to travel and enjoy spending a few months each year overseas – “Previously, we dreamed of this lifestyle but were always told it was unrealistic and would never happen. We are now living that lifestyle and we intend to continue travelling extensively, sharing our products and business with people worldwide.”
