Since 1973 Mark and Cheryl had a goal – to own a Family Business. They achieved that goal by purchasing the franchise originally known as Eaton Building Materials from Dick and Diana Campbell, who were planning to retire, and continued running the business selling timber and hardware to local builders, owner builders and DIY customers.

By increasing the number of transactions and sale values each month, the Campbell’s have built a good reputation and now have strong trade and cash values.

With the opening of Bunnings Warehouse, Campbell’s Building Materials face the threat of loss of business, which has prompted discussion around new innovative ideas; how can they promote their business and continue to achieve sales growth against the major competitors entering the marketplace.

Since becoming a 10X client in August 2009, Robson Partners have helped Mark and Cheryl keep track of their business financially, manage their budgets and monitor debtors and expenses.

“…Suggestions like keeping our customers informed by using technologies like SMS, texting to account customers. This will keep ‘Campbell’s’ at the fore front of their minds…” Cheryl explains.

Campbell Building Materials actively supports our local community by donating prizes such as BBQ’s to schools or sporting clubs for raffles and fundraisers. They also donate prizes to help Woy Woy Rotary with various fundraisers like The Opera at Pearl Beach and their Christmas raffle.

Cheryl adds “We know on any day how our business is tracking financially and where it is at. The people at Robson Partners are always able to guide and give relevant information to help keep our business growing. They have a great wealth of knowledge and experience which they always share with our company, in a joint venture to keep us focussed on our goals and the means to achieve them.”

The Campbell’s are continuing to do what they do best, improving anywhere possible, and exploring ways to use new technology for their marketing strategies.
