Genex is the amalgamation of a state of the art Air-conditioning and an Electrical/Energy efficiency business. Owners Brad Dowton and Andrew Pooley have over 40 years of combined experience and joined forces last year to help their client base enjoy a “one stop solution”.
Andrew Pooley explains, “The business has exclusive access to a product that can reduce businesses energy bills by a guaranteed 12% and in a lot of cases up to 25 %. We are focusing on increasing the market penetration of this product. Genex has recently been appointed the preferred supplier of this product.”
The focus of the business owners in 2012, is to consolidate on the previous year’s growth in the Climate Control and Energy Efficiency sectors.
Brad outlines his plan, “Genex aims to be the leading supplier of this product in the Central Coast ,Newcastle and Hunter region within the next 12 months.”
Genex believes that energy consumption and the accompanying costs are at the top of many businesses agenda in the coming year. “With the Carbon Tax surely to add to the price of electricity, the impact on many medium size businesses which operate in price sensitive environments will be of concern.”, says Andrew.
The business has not been without challenges. The mix of uncertainty associated with offshore events, the local uncertainty surrounding the carbon tax and a general reluctance to commit to more than the basics, had generated a difficult environment for growth.
In 2010 they turned to 10X for assistance with their growth plans.
